How to Play

Master the five elements and conquer the board

The Goal

Eleverso is fought on a 5x5 board. When the board fills up, the player who owns more tiles wins — convert wisely and claim every cell you can.

Setup

  • Five tiles are pre-placed: three belong to Player A, two to Player B.
  • Each player holds a hand of three tiles drawn from their own 30-tile deck of elements.
  • Player A moves first.

Taking a Turn

  1. 1Choose one of the three tiles in your hand.
  2. 2Place it on any empty cell of the 5x5 board.
  3. 3Every adjacent enemy tile whose element yours beats instantly converts to your letter (A or B) -- diagonals count too!
  4. 4Draw a replacement from your deck, then your opponent takes their turn.

Play Examples

1. Claim & Convert

Player A places Water next to an enemy Fire tile. Water beats Fire, so the Fire tile flips to A.

2. Diagonals Count

All eight neighboring cells count. Player B places Fire diagonally next to an enemy Wind tile and converts it — no orthogonal contact needed.

3. One Tile, Two Conversions

A well-placed tile can convert several enemies at once. B's Fire at the center beats both the Earth above-left and the Wind below-right — both flip.

4. No Conversion — Safe Claim

Conversion only flows from the tile you place, never back at it. A places Earth next to an enemy Water: Water beats Earth, but since A is the one placing, nothing flips. It's a safe territory grab.

Winning

When all 25 cells are filled, the game ends. Each tile counts for its current owner — A vs B. Most tiles wins; equal counts end in a tie.
